Brief Description: Fuselage accent stripe and registration painting
It was a bit of a marathon session today. In the morning my brother Bernie and I masked the fuselage in preparation for the accent stripe and registration mark painting. In the afternoon it took us some time to calculate how much paint to mix to spray the registration mark and accent stripe. Twice we came up too short and had to mix some more paint and to top it all off we ran out of time from the first paint mixing and had to clean the spray gun before the paint catalyzed inside. It was over an hour before we were finished spraying. We had a break for dinner, watched the PBS Ken Burns special on the US National Parks, highly recommended, while the painted cured. Then before turning in for the night we removed all the masking before the paint was fully cured so no paint chips would get pulled off.
